Phase 1 planning using letters and sounds. 6 weeks of planning with 4 lessons per week.

This is an outdoor lesson plan I recently used with Nursery children and was graded as outstanding. It involves retelling the story, counting and building animal homes using natural materials. Also included is some photographs for ideas for the animal homes and some photos of the homes we made.

This includes 11 weeks planning for the topic animals. There is Literacy/Numeracy planning - 2 lessons per week, skills planning for the other areas of the classroom and several worksheets. Literacy planning used with Reception/Year 1

Some Literacy planning I used with EY's and worksheets. Also topic plan and some maths worksheets.

Ideas for literacy and numeracy which I used with Reception children. It was an excellent book which especially engaged the boys. The planning ideas are in word format but the resources are all created using active inspire so you will need this to open them. Hope you enjoy.

Literacy and Numeracy planning which was used with Nursery children. Literacy includes using the initiative 'Talk for Writing.' Also included is area plans for the classroom, topic plans and several worksheets for both Literacy and Numeracy.

A weeks planning for early years with a spooky theme. We used it in the run up to Halloween. Includes lit/num planning, UTW, PD and EAD planning and planning for other areas of the classroom. Also a couple of worksheets.

I use these sheets to send home each week after we have been learning a new sound. The sheets include a matching exercise for each letter then an opportunity to practise tracing over the letters for handwriting practise.

I used these plans with Year 1 children. They involved an outdoor lesson where the children created their own story boxes and then photographed different scenes to make a powerpoint. Included is a detail observed lesson plan and some of our finished stories.

A topic web to use in early years or KS1

Activities linked to the story Jack and the Beanstalk which we used in early years. Also we wrote a new story we're going on a giant hunt and retold this story in the outdoor area and using story trays. maths incudes counting beans, adding beans, patten beanstalks, measuring beanstalks, ordering leaves on a beanstalk. literacy includes retelling both stories, describing the giant and making story maps.
